APQ (the Austin Piazzolla Quintet) went on tour in Colorado at the beginning of the month and after a bit of a rocky start things went smashingly. We got to play at some great venues for some very receptive audiences. Our second album, Lo Que Vendrá, is now available to purchase online at Bandcamp. You can listen to it in the sidebar to the right or just head over to Bandcamp to check it out.
I’ve posted a couple videos below from our performance at the Denver Public Library. That place is huge! We were in a very nice recital space on the 7th floor. Strangely, I never saw many books in this purported library. If you’d like to see the entire show or other APQ videos go HERE.
I play with a group called the Austin Piazzolla Quintet (APQ) and we just returned from a short tour in Colorado. We got off to a bit of a rocky start missing our first show because of a flight that was delayed by 10 hours, but the rest of the tour went incredibly well. We took lots of pictures and videos. Posted below are a couple of my original pieces that we performed at the Denver Public Library. Enjoy!
The D-Pad Studio team has put together a lovely montage of scenes from Owlboy set to some of my music for the game. Enjoy!
Some of my music was used in the trailer for the upcoming Dreamworks animated film, The Croods. The first 40 second are all Jonny Geer! The track is “Ocean Dreams” and is part of the PostHaste Music Library.
