APQ (The Austin Piazzolla Quintet) just returned from a fantastic tour in Colorado and New Mexico. 10 days. 9 shows. One 30 foot RV. It was glorious. This was all in support of our brand new self-titled album. At the beginning of February we spent two days recording at the Blue Rock Studio in the Texas Hill Country with Grammy nominated engineer, Charlie Kramsky. The album features original compositions by myself and violinist, James Anderson set along side Piazzolla’s up-tempo Michelangelo 70, the heavy weight of Soledad, musical portrait Retrato de Milton, and the bass showpiece Kicho.
The album is now available for download on Bandcamp. We will not be streaming the entire album anywhere. You can listen to two full-length tracks on Bandcamp to get a taste of the music. We are really proud of this record and hope that you enjoy it!
If you want a physical copy of the CD (digipack) those will only be available on CDBaby:
